Ricoh Thailand launches a new retail location to penetrate more consumer groups
In addition to providing services to corporate clients, Ricoh (Thailand) Limited expands its customer base to consumers by opening a new sales location geared toward consumer groups. The launch goal of the sales point is to shift Ricoh’s current brand perception as more than just a distributor of copiers and printers but also a comprehensive, one-stop provider of office solutions, which results in increased sales.
On March 23, 2023, Ricoh Thailand introduced its new point of sale at the recently opened OfficeMate shop near Future Park Rangsit Department Store. Customers can walk in, ask a product consultant, and purchase Ricoh's printing device or its consumables right away. To further broaden its customer base, Ricoh also showcases its innovations, including an all-in-one Interactive Whiteboard that comes with whiteboard function, wireless content sharing, add-on applications, and can be used in various meeting and classroom environments, as well as a compact-sized Direct to Garment (DTG) printer which uses cutting-edge technology to print directly on fabrics, allowing users to easily produce DIY souvenirs, t-shirts, bags, socks, cork coasters, much more. Customers can try the product out at the retail shop to get ideas for adapting to organizational use or further increasing their income. These are a response to Ricoh's aims to expand its territory into the consumer market and to reposition Ricoh as a brand that is no longer just a distributor of office printing devices.
Ricoh Thailand expects that the launch of this new sales location will boost consumer market penetration and retail market sales. The company believes that allowing customers to experience its IWB and DTG printer products at the point of sales will help them with purchasing decisions.
