Ricoh Eco Learning Center: Inspiring a Sustainable Future
Ricoh Thailand has made a significant impact by opening the Eco Learning Center (ELC) in 2021, with the goal of sharing knowledge, raising awareness, and inspiring both customers and the community about environmental conservation and sustainable development. This initiative also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promotes the circular economy within local communities.
A Path to Sustainability Through Ricoh's Innovation
The ELC is not just a learning space, but an essential resource that helps visitors understand how Ricoh approaches solving societal challenges through sustainable business practices. A key example is the Asia Pacific Central of Refurbishment Center (AP CRC), where old machines are collected and refurbished to "like-new" condition. This process extends the product's life, reduces e-waste, and minimizes environmental impact.
Comet Circle: A Circular Economy Concept Exhibition
One of the highlights at the ELC is the Comet Circle Exhibition, which showcases Ricoh's circular economy model. This exhibition educates visitors on the recycling process at every stage, from part separation to repurposing materials.
E Waste Wall: The Challenges of Recycling
At the E Waste Wall, visitors can explore the complexities of recycling multifunction printers that appear simple on the surface but contain intricate parts and circuits. This display reflects Ricoh's commitment to effective recycling and minimizing environmental impact through innovative, sustainable practices.
Inspiration at Pano-Theater
The Pano-Theater, equipped with Ricoh's large, curved LCD screens, tells the story of Ricoh's dedication to environmental responsibility and its commitment to achieving the SDGs. Visitors can also exchange ideas and spark inspiration for creating a brighter, more sustainable future together.
Meet "Koon Pla Mor": The Center's Mascot
The ELC's mascot, Khun Pla Mor, is inspired by the local fish species, the "pla mor," symbolizing the community of Bang Pla, where this learning center is located. This mascot reflects Ricoh’s respect for the local community and its involvement in social and environmental initiatives.
Explore the Eco Learning Center Virtually
For those interested, you can visit the Eco Learning Center at 789/11 TIP7 Industrial Project, Bang Pla, Samut Prakan or experience it virtually through the 360° Virtual Tour at Ricoh 360 Virtual Tour.
Towards a Sustainable Future Together
With the ELC, Ricoh not only demonstrates its environmental responsibility but also highlights its role in creating a sustainable future. Whether it’s reducing waste, recycling materials, or raising community awareness, every aspect of the center reflects Ricoh’s true commitment to improving the world.
Because sustainability begins with each one of us, Ricoh is ready to move forward together toward a better world for all.
